Ushers report for duty 90 minutes prior to the concert and wear black dress pants, socks and shoes and white dress long-sleeved, buttoned-front shirts or blouses and EMCO-provided name tags. Duties consist of taking tickets, distributing programs to concert-goers and escorting concert-goers to seats on a first-come, first-served general admission basis.
Ushers remain after the performance for up to one hour to collect programs left in seats.
EMCO holds an annual fundraising event. The 17th-season fund-raising event occurs Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Martine Inn in Pacific Grove. The EMCO Board of Directors welcomes Bravo! Volunteer assistance in the production of this event!
Occasionally EMCO holds a phon-a-thon to contact supporters, such as to remind them of upcoming concerts and to appeal for funds or thank supporters for recent donations. The EMCO Board of Directors welcomes Bravo! Volunteer assistance in making these phone calls!
EMCO produces posters about each of its four concerts of the season. The EMCO Board of Directors welcomes Bravo! Volunteer assistance in putting up these posters around Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties!
Throughout the concert season, EMCO hosts various events for donors and concert-goers in Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties. Bravo! volunteers can assist at these functions by helping to set up before, serve food and beverages at, and clean up after them. Attire is the same as for ushers.
In exchange for volunteer assistance, Bravo! Volunteers receive a free ticket to an upcoming EMCO concert. Contact Us to become a Bravo! volunteer. |
